Little Brother's Career Dream Comes True
At the beginning of the month, Alex Ramirez and Joe Rico of The Final Word on Mile High Sports Radio invited long-time Little Brother Andy to the studio as a co-host for the day. Andy is now a freshman at CCD studying sports journalism. He hopes to someday be a sports broadcaster!

Watch here to hear Andy talk about how his Big Brother Ray impacted his life, as well as ask the sports pundits who called in some tough questions on the Broncos vs. Panthers game the following week. Mike Fye, Sports Buddies Manager joined him to talk about Big Brothers Big Sisters, National Mentoring Month, and our Sports Buddies program.
Big Brothers Big Sisters Celebrates Black History Month
Black History Month is an annual celebration and recognition of the central role of African Americans in U.S. history.

Facilitated by Omar Montgomery, BBBSC Board Member and Director of Black Student Services at University of Colorado Denver, the   Omega Leadership Academy designed a one-day conference for Bigs and Littles to learn more about the who, what, when, and why of Black History Month.

One Little Brother that attended was so excited his mother shared with their program specialist, "He loved it! He wouldn't stop talking about it. He called everybody about it (his grandma and dad) and saying how he knows so much about Black history."
