Big Easy Running Festival Opens with $1.00 Registration Rates!

Premier Event Management LLC, the leader in endurance sports production, is proud to announce its second New Orleans area running event in the last two years. Two years ago, Premier Event Management announced the inaugural Shamrockin Run 8K Road Race. PEM follows up that success with the introduction of the inaugural Big Easy Running Festival, scheduled for Sunday, November 23, 2014.

The Big Easy Running Festival will host the Big Easy Half Marathon offering a $25,000.00 prize purse, the Big Easy Mini Marathon 4 Miler, and the Big Easy Mile. "We're so pleased to have this opportunity to work in our city once again on such a great event for the local, regional and national running community," said race director Bill Burke. "There is no better city in the world to visit than the Big Easy, and this inaugural running festival will showcase why we feel that way!" Burke said.

The 2014 Big Easy Half Marathon offers an epic race course that starts on the west bank of the Mississippi River and crosses the Crescent City Connection as it begins a tour of New Orleans that ends in Louis Armstrong Park. It can't get any better, right? Well it does! Premier Event Management is proud to announce that the Big Easy Half Marathon, Mini Marathon and the Big Easy Mile will open at an insane entry fee of just $1.00! Yes, that's right: just $1.00! Each event in the 2014 Big Easy Running Festival will open with our new tiered-pricing structure that begins $1 dollar entry slots. The Big Easy Half Marathon, Mini Marathon and the Big Easy Mile will each offer a limited number of slots at each price. As those slots are sold the price increases by just $5.00 until the regular price for that event is reached. This discount will offer hundreds of runners a discount like never before!

What's the catch? PEM is asking that each athlete join us in supporting Second Harvest Food Bank by bringing a canned or other non-perishable food item to the event to assist with Thanksgiving Food Baskets for those in need. "What better way to kick off the New Orleans Holiday Season than to assist Second Harvest Food Bank with a donation from our fitness friends", added Burke. "For our fitness community, it has to be about making a positive difference in our city."
