Big Ten CRC Summit 2017

Overview:

The Big Ten CRC Summit 2017 will bring together members from Big Ten Cancer Research Consortium member institutions to explore the role of precision oncology and using cancer genomic data tailored to individual patients.

Theme:  Precision Oncology

Audience:
  • Senior and junior faculty and fellows involved in clinical oncology research
  • Basic scientists involved in drug discovery and translational research
  • Cancer center leadership and administration
  • Industry leaders and MSLs
  • Community leaders
Cost
  • There is no registration fee.
  • Attendees are responsible for their own travel and accommodations. Meals and beverages are provided.


IUSCC, Purdue host acting director of NCI; Big Ten CRC highlighted

The Indiana University Melvin and Bren Simon Cancer Center hosted Doug Lowy, the acting director of the National Cancer Institute, for a full-day visit on June 28. Dr. Lowy participated in a series of meetings covering a range of topics, including the Big Ten Cancer Research Consortium. He visited Purdue University Center for Cancer Research the following day. Dr. Lowy visited the cancer centers to understand their strengths and learn about unique programs to advance cancer research, diagnosis, prevention, and treatment.
