Q&A with BTCRC Admin HQ

Big Ten CRC Administrative Headquarters is launching a new feature with this newsletter to discuss some of the common questions we receive from consortium members. In this month's Q&A, we address the following questions:

  • What type of trial is the Big Ten Cancer Research Consortium (BTCRC) looking to perform?
  • How do I submit a concept to the BTCRC?

  • Which working groups are currently active? How do I join a working group?

  • At what point should I submit my concept to the BTCRC?

  • Does the BTCRC provide funding for my trial?
  • What assistance do you provide to the PI early in the trial process?
  • I've heard people talk about Hoosier Cancer Research Network. Who are they and how do they relate to the Big Ten Cancer Research Consortium?

To date, LRF has not had a Big Ten investigator participate in their one-year Lymphoma Clinical Research Mentoring Program. Let's change that! Deadline for applications is September 3, 2014. Questions about LRF's funding opportunities may be directed to [email protected].

Upcoming Working Groups
The next working groups to form will be GYN and melanoma.

Big Ten CRC Administrative Headquarters is also considering the establishment of a multiple myeloma working group. Investigators from Big Ten CRC member institutions interested in this group should contact Jessica Roy at [email protected] or 317-634-5842, ext. 19.
