Cancer Center Updates

Leonidas Platanias, MD, PhD, has been appointed director of the Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center of Northwestern University, a position he has served in interim since January. Dr. Platanias joined Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine in 2002 as the cancer center's first deputy director and as a professor of oncology in Medicine-Hematology/Oncology. Read more.

The Fred & Pamela Buffett Cancer Center at the University of Nebraska recently named Apar Kishor Ganti, MD, as the institution's representative on the BTCRC steering committee. Dr. Ganti is associate professor of oncology-hematology at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. See Dr. Ganti's bio.
