Aurora Picture Show Is Moving!
Aurora Picture Show is very happy to announce that we will be moving to a new location near the Kirby/Rice University area in June. Aurora's growth in recent years has meant that we need more space for our youth summer camps, adult workshops, and an indoor space for small screenings that we can call our own. Obviously this is an exciting change for the organization, and the board and staff of Aurora look forward to hosting all our fans in this new space this Summer. Our first big event in the space will be the 2012 Extremely Shorts Film Festival, so be sure to purchase your tickets in advance! And for those of you that love traveling the city with Aurora, please know that we remain committed to site-specific programming at unique locations across Houston for drive-ins, outdoor screenings and more. We also plan to continue our regular collaborations with organizations such as the Menil Collection, Buffalo Bayou Partnership, the Mitchell Center for the Arts, DiverseWorks, and others. For example, in May we will host "Scoot-In" screening event as part of the Insight Out Festival in May which is geared toward two-wheelers. It is thanks to your support that Aurora has grown to this size and been able to make such a positive move for the organization. Thank you.
