Message from the Chair

ARE YOU READY? The time is here. We are about to cut the ribbon to start the 45th annual Bike-a-thon Bridge to the Beach. We still have the final touches to put in place so that we can offer you the best experience and safest possible ride.

During these last few days we will be setting up the bike racks in Boardwalk Hall, posting signage along 100 miles of roadway, picking up and delivering the supplies to the rest stops, dispatching our teams of volunteers, putting up the tents at the rest stops and endpoint, touching base with the police in each township along the route, preparing for bridge and road closures, bib packet pick up, command center set up, SAG and motorcycle support to name just a few things. Whew, I think I need a rest. A 66-mile bike ride sounds like a breeze in comparison.

As you can see, this ride is a monumental undertaking which happens because of the hundreds of committed volunteers and supporters who unselfishly give of themselves for such an important cause which they are so passionately driven to help. With this in mind, welcome to the 2017 American Cancer Society Bike-a-thon Bridge to the Beach, have a wonderful, safe and fun ride and know that your participation is the final piece needed for the success of this ride. THANK YOU ALL!
