PLEASE JOIN US FOR THE DEDICATION OF BLISS IN THE MOMENT   This striking sculpture is the newest addition to the city collection of Palo Alto's public art. Created by James Moore and funded by generous donations from friends andthe Bliss family, Bliss In The Moment is a memorial to our own local biking advocate, Bill Bliss. 

Mr. Bliss served on the board of the Bay Trail Project for over 15 years and was instrumental in initiating many California bike safety regulations in place today.  Bliss in the Moment is  sited appropriately along  Palo Alto's Bay Trail, which is frequented by cyclists and commuters daily.  The figure astride the bike reminds those passing by to stop and take in the beautiful view of the Baylands.

    

Location: E. Bayshore Road between Embarcadero & San Antonio Roads.  Attendees are encouraged to bike to the event, as there is limited nearby parking.  For those who must drive: take highway 101 to Palo Alto, take the Embarcadero exit East.  Make a right going South on E. Bayshore Road.  The site is 1/5 mile South of the Animal Services Center.
