Photograph Everglades Birds & the Geminids Meteors
Osprey in the Florida Everglades

Join Jason in the Florida Everglades for a combination birding/night sky photo safari December 13-17th, 2015.

The Everglades is one of Florida's premier bird photography locations, as most of the birds are accustomed to human activity. We will visit three birding locations during this trip: Anhinga Trail, Flamingo, and Shark Valley. One of the best things about the Everglades, is that many of the birds are fairly close-up and large. That means you don't need to haul around a massive lens to shoot there. In fact, most photographers will be able to use something like a 80-400mm zoom lens and get great shots.

As an added bonus, the timing of this safari coincides with the peak of the Geminids meteor shower. We'll head into the Everglades at night for some night sky photography and hopefully we'll be able to photograph the meteors, along with star trails and the Milky Way galaxy. I'll teach you all the necessary techniques for capturing beautiful night sky images.

Each day, I'll also work with each of you personally with computer processing and workflow techniques, so you'll learn to enhance your photographs and maximize their potential. It's an end to-end workshop where you'll get to capture, organize, and process your images with a professional instructor there to help you every step of the way.

This is a small group instructional photo safari. The group size is capped at 8 photographers.

Reserve your space by October 14th by placing a deposit today through the event page.
