CIRCLE OF ARTS HIRES DR. DAVID REIMER AS MUSIC DIRECTOR FOR THE DOROTHY GERBER STRINGS PROGRAM
The Charlevoix Circle of Arts announces the hiring of Dr. David Reimer, as the Music Director for the Dorothy Gerber Strings Program.  Dr. David Reimer began work at the Charlevoix Circle of Arts effective August 22.  "I am excited to join the Charlevoix Circle of Arts as they accept the gift and privilege of the Dorothy Gerber Strings Program.  I am grateful for the legacy of  Dorothy Gerber and the patronage of her daughter, Gay along with Peter Cummings, who made string music education available to the children and youth of northern Michigan.  The program has been a vital part of this community for years and I look forward to the challenge of helping it grow in the years to come." Dr. David Reimer.
RED MESA GRILL, BOYNE CITY CELEBRATES 20 YEAR ANNIVERSARY
On September 16, 1997, Mary Palmer, Fred Moore and Jim Cartwright opened the Red Mesa Grill and changed Boyne City forever.  Many said that they were crazy to open up a Latin American restaurant in a little up-north, blue collar town.  The community didn't right away embrace the eclectic restaurant that painted the store front bright red; it was a big change for Boyne City!  None the less, with a lot of hard work, and a lot of great staff, the Red Mesa Grill quickly became one of the most popular restaurants in Northern Michigan.

Mary, Fred, and Jim went in with the cornerstone philosophies of:
*We want to be the best place to work in the community.
*We want to be the most fun and professional place to work in the community.
*We want our employees to love their jobs.
*If we take care of our employees, we know that our guests will be well cared for.  More
