You can also get down Antrim Street to the Oleson's Plaza, Cinema III and Terry's Place.

So, don't forget our Downtown Businesses during this 2 week road construction period.

                                   ******************************************

*Yes, State Street will be congested with traffic for awhile , so please be patient with other drivers and be extra careful watching for pedestrians trying to cross State St.  The City is doing all they can to complete this work on the infrastructure in a timely matter and we thank them for their hard work.*

CITY HYDRANT FLUSHING flush
As summer draws to an end, the City of Charlevoix Public Works Department plans to begin flushinng all of the water mains throughout the City's distribution system.  This flushing will start the week of September 25, and should be completed within one week.

It is necessary to flush the system to help remove the sedimentation that can accumulate in the water mains throughout the year.  Over the course of the week, hydrants across town will systematically be opened to help scour and flush the lines and help remove any accumulated build up.

During this time, you may experience rusty or discolored water.  This is normal during the flushing due to loosening up any sediment that may be in the main lines.  If you experience rust colored water, run water through an indoor or outdoor tap for a few minutes, or until the water runs clear.  Avoid doing laundry during this time, as the clothes may become stained

Please call the Department of Public Works at 231.547.3276 if you have any questions.
