Episode 2017...
Here at Black Cat Comics in rockin' Milpitas we're starting the New Year with tons of energy, excitement, and positive attitude! We have a lot to look forward to in 2017, and we're getting started right now! 2017 will be our first full year in our new building, and we're super-excited about all the fun and good times we're going to have this year, and every year in the future! We're already planning our extra-curricular events like the February Publisher Sales, Free Comic Book Day, and the Rockin' Milpitas Pre-Comic-Con Comic-Con, as well as all the other awesome activities that you have come to expect from your favorite feline-themed house of fun! We're also booking our reservations for all the great shows going on around the country like WonderCon, Emerald City Comic-Con, and, of course, San Diego Comic-Con, the biggest, coolest Con of them all! Plus, 2017 marks the 15th Anniversary of Black Cat Comics, so you know we're going to have to do a little something extra-special to commemorate that mini-milestone! But, of course, we do much more than throw parties, have sales, and report from conventions. Every Wednesday we stock our shelves with all the latest and greatest from the top talents in Comics. Since 2002, Black Cat Comics has been your one-stop-shop for all things Super Hero, and we plan on making 2017 our biggest and best year yet! Be right here reading this newsletter each and every week to keep up with all the moving and shaking we've got going on throughout the year! We don't want you to miss a nano-second of the fun, because we do everything we do just for you!

Time travel doesn't usually go the way you want it to. You would think that Vision would know this by now, because he's been on the team for a while, but this week in Avengers #3, the team has to deal with the fallout from Vision's assault on Kang. The Firewall of Time has been breached, and that is bad news for our band of heroes. With new characters taking on classic villains, writer Mark Waid (Flash, Kingdom Come, Irredeemable) is well on his way to making this run a modern classic. Don't miss out! - Causey
The Odinson is no longer the God of Thunder but he's still kicking butt. Joining his brother in arms Beta Ray Bill, they team up to find the missing hammer from  the Ultimate Universe. But they're not the only ones interested in it. The Collector will stop at nothing to possess such a rare and powerful item. With stunning art by Oliver Coipel and a great story by Jason Aaron you won't want to let this series pass you by. Unworthy Thor #3 is out this Wednesday. Be sure to pick up a copy.   -Al
Robert Kirkman's Whisperer War comes to an epic conclusion this month. With the Hiltop group on the run will Rick be able to regroup his forces to take down Beta? In the finale of this arc be ready to see some amazing two page spreads of Adlard's art covered with walkers. This arc has been action packed ride from the beginning and I can't wait what Kirkman has planned next following this arc. The Walking Dead #162 comes out this Wednesday so be sure to grab your copy and enjoy the start of the year with some walkers. - Anthony
Unstoppable Wasp #1 is a fun, sweet introduction to Nadia, the prodigy of Hank Pym. We learn about her origin and how she grew to became the lovable, albeit excitable, teenage superhero. She's new to the U.S. and after being locked up in the 'Red Room' for her entire life she's itching to get out and explore the world and make up for lost time. We see her team up with Ms. Marvel and Mockingbird and the issue ends with the promise of more team ups to come. I caught myself laughing out loud a few times on this one. Definitely worth a read! Enjoy! - Francie

With our recent move we've lost all the awesome reviews we had on Yelp. Whenever a business relocates they remove the old reviews and treat it as a brand new business. Our reviews look pretty meager! We could use your help in spicing them up! Thanks in advance!
