Another F-word is "Friendship"...
Here at Black Cat Comics in rockin' Milpitas we know there has been a lot of talk about division and differences lately, so this week we want to bring your attention to some things that everyone can agree on, and we want to give you some opportunities to meet new people and make some new friends. February is the month with the fewest days, but it has a lot going on for fans of the four-color funnies! For starters, we have a different publisher on sale every weekend all month long! The first weekend, Saturday the 4th and Sunday the 5th, all Marvel Comics merchandise will be 25% OFF! Every comic, trade, toy and t-shirt from Marvel that isn't new that week will be on sale, and then we'll feature a different publisher each weekend after that. Also, Sunday, February 12th, is the first convention of 2017: the East Bay Comic-Con! Get up to the Crowne Plaza in Concord for your first taste of the 2017 convention season! There will be vintage comics to peruse, artists to get autographs and sketches from, and celebrities to meet so don't miss out! Our in-store events, like the Publisher Sales, and our extracurricular events, like conventions, are a lot of fun and a great way to have a good time with old friends while you make some new ones. Check out the
News and Events page at BlackCatComics.Biz  for all the in  fo on upcoming awesomeness. And don't forget that Valentine's Day is also just a few weeks away! You can find something for your special someone, and something for your special self, at one of our sales, the East Bay Comic-Con, or right here in rockin' Milpitas on any given Wednesday! Instead of arguing politics online with people you don't know, get together with live people and d iscuss true meaning behind the title of Episode VIII: The Last Jedi! Let's make 2017 a year of coming together to enjoy what we have in common. Maybe by starting there we can eventually work out all the other stuff.

Star Wars #27 continues the adventure of Master Yoda began last issue as told from the journal of Obi-Wan Kenobi. Yoda has seen many strange things in his 800 years as a Jedi Master, but nothing has prepared him for the battle now in front of him. This planet is full of dangerous children, more powerful than any Padawan. Can Yoda solve the mystery of how they came to be and bring peace to this world? Marvel is doing an excellent job with its Star Wars line. Pick up this latest issue and be on the lookout for Darth Maul #1! - Causey
Casey Brinke has discovered her past and in true hero fashion runs away from it. Doom Patrol has always gone for the strange and really out there storylines, and this latest incarnation keeps that tradition going. Robot Man, Danny the Street and Flex Mentallo are back and Casey must some how bring them all together. All the different story lines are coming together slowly and I can hardly wait  for this new Doom Patrol to finally come together. Doom Patrol #4 is out this Wednesday. Be sure to check it out. - Al
The mad titan has grown ill and last issue he found his father Mentor, to help him find a cure for his sickness. They discovered that Thanos has only a few weeks to live with no cure in site. While leaving the world of Gilgrath the Shi'ar imperial guard appears. In   Thanos #3   we will see the battle between the imperial guard and Thanos, even in his weakened state the titan is still a mighty foe to take down. Meanwhile Starfox and the Champion take Nebula to the planet of Titan to discuss Thane's plan to kill his father now that he knows Thanos is ill and searching the universe for a cure. Jeff Lemire and Mike Deodato's epic story line continues this week with issue three. -  Anthony
My 7 year old self is giddy with excitement over this epic team-up. I remember watching re-runs of Batman and Wonder Woman as a kid and just thinking how cool it would be to be a superhero, with all the cool gadgets and powers. If you were a fan of these shows then you will love the comic. They capture the terrible yet charming witty banter of the Batman show with the kick-assness of the Wonder Woman show.  In this Batman '66 Meets Wonder Woman #1 , which is the start of a six-part series, we see Eartha Kitt Catwoman stealing something for a mysterious woman. We all know who it is but I'm not going to spoil it for you. Next we're taken back in time to an attempted robbery at Wayne Manor when Bruce was a young tyke. And alas, who saves the day but our beloved Wonder Woman. I can't wait to see how these two team-up! Make sure you pick up your copy today (covers by Mike Allred and Alex Ross)! And if you're a fan of the era, make sure you also pick up the Wonder Woman Meets Bionic Woman #2 Enjoy! - Francie

With our recent move we've lost all the awesome reviews we had on Yelp. Whenever a business relocates they remove the old reviews and treat it as a brand new business. Our reviews look pretty meager! We could use your help in spicing them up! Thanks in advance!
