Game over, man, game over,

Here at Black Cat Comics in rockin' Milpitas we're remembering our friend Bill Paxton. Most comic book readers are also big movie fans, especially Sci Fi and action movies, so many of us have a favorite movie featuring Bill. The fact that he is the only actor to be "killed" by an Alien, a Predator, and a Terminator proves that point. His role in Agents of Shield introduced him to new generations of fans, and motivated him to return to the convention circuit where he was shown well-earned respect from fans everywhere. The Black Cat Comics team got to see Bill at WonderCon a couple of years ago, and we were struck by the size and range of his career, as well as his charm and sense of humor. Bill embraced who he was, and he gave his fans everything they wanted. Though he left us too soon, he leaves behind a volume of work that will be enjoyed for generations to come. Bill's passing reminds us that comic conventions, like this weekend's San Jose Super Toy Show, are rare and excellent opportunities to meet our favorite cult-classic celebrities and tell them how much their work has meant to us fans! There aren't many places where you can hang out with your favorite athlete or musician, but you can meet the folks that played in your favorite movies just by buying a ticket and getting in line. Like Bill Paxton, we're all here fighting the Terminator one day then gone the next. Don't miss a chance to show someone your appreciation for their hard work and dedication. It means as much to them as their autograph means to you. Treat yourself to a Paxton-Thon this weekend, and don't miss the San Jose Super Toy Show this Saturday and Sunday! Here's everything else going on in Comics this week...

Clone Conspiracy Omega #1 concludes the latest Clone Saga to shake up the Spider-Verse, but also begins the next chapter in the life of everyone's favorite Worldwide web-head. Writer Peter David and artist Mark Bagley each have extensive history with the wall crawler, and each is a master of his craft. What happened to Ben Reilly? What's going to happen to the Jackal's tech? And what difference does it make if Peter gets crushed by the Rhino? Pick up the Black Cat Pack of Clone Conspiracy #1-5, plus as many recent issues of Amazing Spider-Man as you can if you haven't been following the title. Reading Spider-Man is as fun as it's been in a long time.  - Causey

Kate Bishop's move to Venice has been eventful. Hawkeye Investigation's simple stalking case evolves into something more complex than Kate was expecting. Kelly Thompson gives Kate a smart alecky personality and introduces a cast of "scoobys" for her to play off of. Issue #3 left us on a cliffhanger.  In issue #4 we discover more about the bigger baddie and what his scheme is. I'm looking foreward to it. Hawkeye #4 is out this Wednesday . Be sure to stop by and get your copy. - Al

Rick has teamed up with a very unlikely ally to clear the remaining walkers from Alexandria. By placing his trust in this person Rick is taking a huge risk in being double crossed. Maggie, Andrea, and many of the other survivors are occupied with herding thousands of walkers into the ocean. In this arc we have seen amazing action packed fights as well as many characters step up and become important figures in their communities.  The Walking Dead #165  is out this week so be sure pick it up and see who Rick has teamed up with and how it will play out. - Anthony

After a long hiatus Rat Queens returns this week with Rat Queens Vol 2 #1! The ladies have returned from their last battle and are gearing up for the next. This rascally bunch are itching for a new adventure and it comes all too quickly for this troupe of misfits. While on the hunt they encounter a new batch of misfits, the Cat Kings - totally ridiculous which means hilarious. But before they get to share how-dee-doos they encounter a monster of epic proportions. Together can they slay? Or does this beast devour them one by one. Check out this week's issue to find out! Enjoy! - Francie

OK I had to do another review this week because, well, Paul Dini! His Zatanna collection can not be overlooked. Paul Dini, master creator of Harley Quinn and famed writer of the Batman Animated Series knows Zatanna like the back of his hand. Or is that dnah? I know, cheesy, but couldn't help myself. This collected volume has the complete run of Zatanna #1 - 16 plus a few one-shot specials. It's definitely worth a read especially if you were a fan of the Justice League Dark and all things magic. Great for hot chocolate by the warm fire. Yojne! - Francie

With our recent move we've lost all the awesome reviews we had on Yelp. Whenever a business relocates they remove the old reviews and treat it as a brand new business. Our reviews look pretty meager! We could use your help in spicing them up! Thanks in advance!
