Return of the Jedi...
Here at Black Cat Comics in rockin' Milpitas we have returned from WonderCon 2017 and are hard at work getting everything from the show ready for your perusal and purchase, while simultaneously engaging in our usual fastidious festivities to get you your New Comics just like any other Wednesday! We hope you were able to make it to WonderCon, but if you didn't then we hope you were keeping up with our Facebook pictures, posts and videos as we did our best to keep you informed on the moving and shaking throughout the weekend. We made the most of it, seeing and doing everything we could during the three day show, from infotainment panels like DC Rebirth and Buffy the Vampire Slayer 20th reunion, to fun events like QuickDraw and Cartoon Voice Acting, to, of course, scoring lots of vintage comics and new, cool items you haven't seen before! Check out our Facebook page for pics of the whole experience, and make sure you get a good look around at all the stuff next time you are in the shop! Now we start getting ready for our biggest event of the year: Free Comicbook Day! FCBD is Saturday, May 6th, just a month away, and we have a million things to do to make sure that this year's event is bigger and better than we've ever done it before! Keep up with all of our usual media outlets (Facebook, YouTube,, Newsletter, Podcast) over the next few weeks as we deliver the delicious details. Here at Black Cat Comics in rockin' Milpitas we have dedicated all of our nine lives to helping you make the most of your happy hobby. We want you to love comics as much as we do, and we want you to help us create new fans of four-color fun by bringing friends and family to events like conventions, Free Comicbook Day, and even on regular ol' New Comics Wednesday! Comics are for everyone, so don't forget to share the fun with friends and family! Here are some titles we recommend from this week's batch of new stuff...

Weekly Comics for the week of 4/05/17

Star Wars #30 brings the past and the future together as a tale from Obi Wan's archive becomes a battle in Luke Skywalker's real life! Yoda's adventure begun back in issue #26 was left unresolved and has now come full circle as Luke must defend himself from the last survivor. Can young Luke's limited training save him from the stonepower? Pick up the latest issue of Marvel's phenomenal Star Wars line, and for more fun in the Galaxy far, far away don't miss Rogue One Official Move Adaption #1, also new this week! - Causey
Ever since Enter the Dragon I've been a sucker for the martial arts competition on a mysterious island. Danny Rand is invited to the island of Liu-Shi where he may find the answers to fixing his Chi and once again wield the Iron Fist. But first he must battle in a tournament and deal with seven deadly masters. Check out all the action in Iron Fist #2 on sale this Wednesday. - Al.
The Saviors have made their way into Alexandria to strike a final blow to Rick and his group. With Rick's forces spread out it's up to Dwight and a few others to stop the Saviors from taking over. With this arc we have seen the destruction of the Hilltop and Alexandria in shambles. All that Rick and his friends have worked so hard for is now gone and if they survive it will be back to rebuilding or possibly moving to a new area.  The Walking Dead #166  comes out this week after the Sunday Season finale of the show and is a perfect way to still get your zombie fix. - Anthony
Attention Archie Fans, this week, Riverdale #1 hits the shelves and if you're liking the show you'll love the comic! This issue tackles Archie's struggle between his two loves, no, not the ladies, football and music. One is taking away time from the other and he's struggling to find the right balance. The second story shows Cheryl Blossoms struggle between losing her brother Jason and being captain of the cheerleading squad. Boo hoo. The last few pages highlight the CW show and introduce the actors in the series. It's a great grab if you're enjoying the TV show, even if you're not, it's a great introduction to the characters that we've known and loved all these years, showcased in a whole new light. Enjoy! - Francie

We raised over $200, thanks to you!

Thanks to your generosity we'll be sending a check to the local Planned Parenthood branch for over $200! Throughout the month of March we had a donation bucket out for folks to donate to the local Planned Parenthood in conjunction with Image Comics Planned Parenthood covers fundraiser. Women and men's healthcare is a right, not a privilege and we need to support each other when our government fails to do so. Thanks again for your generosity and contributions!

With our recent move we've lost all the awesome reviews we had on Yelp. Whenever a business relocates they remove the old reviews and treat it as a brand new business. Our reviews look pretty meager! We could use your help in spicing them up! Thanks in advance!
