Blue/Gold Spirit Teams
Each year students are assigned to a Blue or Gold Spirit Team.   The teams are comprised of all grade levels and build community between all ages. Throughout the year, the teams participate in a variety of friendly competitions to earn spirit points. At the end of the year, the spirit team with the most points wins.
The blue vs. gold spirit competition is designed to be a fun way to develop relationships and celebrate school spirit. All siblings will have the same color assignment and students will keep their color forever.
Here are a couple examples of how students might be able to earn spirit points this year:
  • The team who wins Blazer Olympics may get 5,000 points;
  • or the team with the most attendance at a particular athletic game, family fellowship event or drama production may get 8,000 points;
  • or an individual student could earn points for their team by demonstrating Above & Beyond Christian character during a class trip.
You never know when and where we'll be giving out spirit points. So watch for email announcements.
The first opportunity to earn spirit points this year is on September 1st.  Student participating in the fun run will earn points for their spirit team.  Students can also earn points at the Family Fun Night by wearing Black to the volleyball games for the "BLACKOUT".
If you not sure of your team color contact Director of Communications, Amanda Stutzman, at astutzman@sarasotachristian.org.
