Sports Park
 Update

The new Bozeman Sports Park took a giant step towards reality on Thursday, July 24th when the city of Bozeman closed on 80 acres at Flanders Mill Road. Blitzz facilitated the purchase by holding the land under contract for nearly a year, allowing the city to acquire funds and perform due diligence. While this is a significant milestone, there is much work left to be done, including further fundraising to complete the project. To this end, Blitzz is helping to form the Bozeman Sport Parks Foundation, a non-profit dedicated to raising funds to help complete and maintain the park. Several Blitzz families have made generous donations to start the foundation including the Danas, Taylors, and past Blittz president Bill Locke. Blitzz sincerely thanks them as well as Blitzz president Paul Rubright, who brokered the acquisition and donated his entire commission to the park.

The 2014 Yellowstone Kick-Off Classic was a resounding success!

Thank you to the many volunteers who donated their time to make this happen.

Update on Proposed Merger with Belgrade Rage

Thanks to all the Blitzz families who came to the town hall meeting to discuss the possibility of merging with the Belgrade Rage. For those who could not make it, here is a recap: No decision has been made but an exploratory committee has been appointed and they will begin discussions with the Rage soon. The fall season is an experiment to see how a joint effort could work. We apologize for the late notice of the fall season changes but unfortunately that decision came in late July after our club manager resigned. If you could not make the meeting but would like your opinion heard please call a board member or email [email protected].

Blitzz is Hiring!
With the resignation of Ann Swann in July, the Blitzz decided to reorganize, giving club administrator, Britt Bodtker, a new title of Club Manager.  Britt will take on many of the duties for which Ann was responsible, including communications, website and special projects.  She will continue to handle the daily administration of the club.
We will be hiring a Club Co-Ordinator, who will work closely with the Club Manager, dealing mainly with team paperwork and MYSA registration.  The ideal candidate will have strong computer skills, be organized and able to multi-task, and open to a flexible work schedule. This position will average 10 hours per week.  Interested?  Please email cover letter and resume to [email protected]
