With a Blizzard Watch in effect for our area, chances are pretty high we'll have a lot of snow on the ground by Sunday! Here are some winter weather tips, important phone numbers, e-mail addresses and links so you can be prepared and safe this weekend:

The State's Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) is responsible for plowing most roads in Fairfax County. To report a problem or street needing plowing to VDOT, call  1-800-367-7623 (1-800-FOR ROAD).

Report and Check Power Outages:

If you see someone who is unsheltered and could be at risk of hypothermia, call the police non-emergency number at 703-691-2131.
 
If the County is closed, my staff and I check office phone messages (703-324-2321) and email ([email protected]) remotely. If we do not answer right away, please leave a detailed message about your question or concern, along with your phone number and email address. We will get back to you as soon as we are able to make sure you are getting the assistance you need.
