Blood Bought Church! 3/9/16
Blood Bought Church! 3/9/16

1 Corinthians 7:23 (KJV)
23  Ye are bought with a price; be not ye the servants of men.

SO...... THE question begs to be answered:

IF we are BLOOD "bought with a price," then WHY do WE allow the inmates to run the asylum!!??

Acts 5:29 (KJV)
29  Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men.

Too often, WE allow the whims and dictates of mere men to lead and direct our steps.

We give in to peer pressure and the need/desire to be loved and/or accepted.

WE respond to the loudest voice in the room and not the "still small Voice" of He that bought us with His Blood.

1 Kings 19:12 (KJV)
12  And after the earthquake a fire; but the LORD was not in the fire: and after the fire a still small voice.

My LOVELY cousin posted a quote from Tim Tebow on FB last night that spoke deeply to my spirit:

" Something I learned early is not worry about what I cannot control......

But what I can control is my attitude, my effort and my focus every single day!"

More and more, I am LEARNING to repeat to MYSELF:

" NOT MY MONKEYS/NOT MY CIRCUS!!!"

To slightly alter another old adage:

" YOU CAN PLEASE SOME OF THE PEOPLE SOME OF THE TIME BUT.........

YOU WILL NEVER PLEASE ALL THE PEOPLE ALL THE TIME!"

Did not the One who bought us with His shed Blood say:

Luke 6:26 (KJV)
26  Woe unto you, when all men shall speak well of you! for so did their fathers to the false prophets.

Our example was well exemplified in the life of King David.

The Story is told in 2nd Samuel, Chapter 16.

His own son had rebelled against his father's authority and deposed David as king.

2 Samuel 16:5-6 (KJV)
5  And when king David came to Bahurim, behold, thence came out a man of the family of the house of Saul, whose name was Shimei, the son of Gera: he came forth, and cursed still as he came.

6  And he cast stones at David, and at all the servants of king David: and all the people and all the mighty men were on his right hand and on his left.

Here was a most likely UN-Godly "man of the family of the house of Saul," a known and sworn enemy of King David, cursing him and casting stones at a King!!??

David was surrounded by his mighty warriors/ body guards and the begged to silence the accuser with one swing of their powerful swords.

2 Samuel 16:9 (KJV)
9  Then said Abishai the son of Zeruiah unto the king, Why should this dead dog curse my lord the king? let me go over, I pray thee, and take off his head.

Hear King David's WISE reply:

2 Samuel 16:10-12 (KJV)
10  And the king said, What have I to do with you, ye sons of Zeruiah? so let him curse, because the LORD hath said unto him, Curse David. Who shall then say, Wherefore hast thou done so?

11  And David said to Abishai, and to all his servants, Behold, my son, which came forth of my bowels, seeketh my life: how much more now may this Benjamite do it? let him alone, and let him curse; for the LORD hath bidden him.

12  It may be that the LORD will look on mine affliction, and that the LORD will requite me good for his cursing this day.

Smile! I can still hear old Brother Mushegan oft saying:

" WHEN I HEAR NOTHING, I SAY NOTHING!!"

TODAY, dear reader, let Us heed wise Solomon's gentle admonition:

Proverbs 26:4 (KJV)
4  Answer not a fool according to his folly, lest thou also be like unto him.

Oftentimes, the BEST answer is NO answer-AMEN!!??

GOD BLESS YOU!
