This 2 1/2 hour workshop will begin with a lecture, and then integrate the teachings into an asana class for the last half of the session.

About your teacher: Sara has a PhD from Duke University, and currently teaches anatomy at the Duke University School of Medicine. She is also an experienced yoga teacher, and is looking forward to integrating these two interests in this comprehensive workshop.

This workshop will be offered on Saturday, March 19, 2:30pm - 5:00pm. Space is limited, so be sure to sign up early!

Partner Stretch Workshop

with Linda and Suzanne; March 5

Partner yoga is a practice that literally involves leaning on each other, developing balance and finding ways to offer physical support. In partner yoga classes we spend most of our time touching each other. By practicing asana together, we learn how to touch, how to be gentle and kind, we learn acceptance and compassion, how to be respectful and trusting, and how to connect, communicate, and cooperate. It's a great opportunity to open the heart since touch is the strongest and simplest way of giving and receiving love, support, warmth and trust.

Partner stretch is a fun and playful way to explore your relationship while helping one another to release tension in the body. We will explore partner yoga exercises and simple Thai massage techniques and end with a guided relaxation.

Join Linda and Suzanne for a fun partner stretch class that will explore communication, breath awareness and therapeutic poses you can share with a partner. They will explain some of their favorite poses and show how, with a sense of humor and an open heart, partner yoga can playfully strengthen your friendships as well as your yoga practice. Sign up with a friend.

Price is $25 per couple, $15 for a single. If you don't have a partner, we'll find you one!

Saturday, March 5, 3pm - 5pm

Namaste.
