Monday, April 2 at 8:30pm  

If you are a jazz musician (instrumentalist or singer), come and play with the pros at the Blue Wisp Jam Session Night. Cincinnati great - saxophonist/flutist  Sandy Suskind - is your host and emcee. This thrice monthly session is in its 3rd year and is a golden opportunity for all up and coming, as well as, veteran players, to get and keep their chops together. A pro drummer, bassist and pianist are also on hand.  Great entertainment and music for all. Cover charge is $5. Support Jazz!

Tuesday, April 3 at 7pm   

Mambo Diablo has been burning it up with Latin jazz at the Wisp on the first Tuesday of every month for the past few years. Members of the group are Nick Radina - timbales, Larry Feldner - piano, John Zappa - trumpet, Stan Ginn - congas, and Bill Jackson - bass, plus occasional guests. Plenty of room for dancing. Enjoy nachos, tuna tacos or anything else from our outstanding menu. Cover only $5.

Wednesday, April 4 at 8:30pm 
John Von Ohlen    
It's  Baron John Von Ohlen and the Award Winning 16-piece Blue Wisp Big Band, (check out this YouTube video clip) holding down Wednesday nights at the Wisp for over 30 years. JVO drummed for the likes of Stan Kenton and Woody Herman. He is an internationally known, highly regarded big band drummer and this seasoned and seriously swinging jazz big band can be sublime. Come hear for yourself and enjoy the sounds!  $12 cover.

 Triage
Triage is an award winning local jazz fusion group featuring vocalist/percussionist Eugene Goss and keyboardist/composer Billy Larkin. They are joined on this engagement by longtime collaborator, drummer Randy Winters. Triage performs virtuosic and spontaneous improvised music that hits upon funk, Latin montunos and swinging jazz grooves. Eugene's world-class vocal stylings compare favorably to those of Nat King Cole, Stevie Wonder and Eddie Jefferson; Billy's compositions and arrangements are sophisticated and contemporary. Triage is absolutely enthralling entertainment that is full of surprises. Cover charge is $5.

Happy Hour blues entertainment from Delbert Williams, our resident blues doctor. All the blues you can use, along with specials on drinks.

Catch an early set by The Blue Wisp Young Lions Band. These are the best up and coming high school players in the area who have auditioned for this ensemble. Come to hear them and give them encouragement and support! Free admission. Donations gratefully accepted.
