Hi Everyone,

Hope all is well. Phew. It’s been busy around the brewery these pasts few weeks and I don’t see any relief in sight. But that’s a good thing, right?! We’ve got a couple new brews coming on tap in the next few weeks. We’ll be brewing Mark Kahley’s award winning Saison. Mark won the style category picked by Bold City in the CASK competition Abbey Normal. We’ve also got the Bold City Oktoberfest, Bold English and Pumpkin Ale on the schedule.

Also, there are a couple of events I would like to tell you about.

-   This Saturday August 3rd there will be a 5k race held here @ the brewery that starts @ 6:30. In conjunction with the 5k race, the Patrick Evan and Coalition band will be playing, they’ll kick off their set @ 7:30pm.

-   We’ll also have Robert with the Gastro Gnome Food Truck here handing out samples. Robert is trying to raise money via kickstarter to pursue his dream of opening his own business.

-   A little farther down south @ Tampa’s Lowry Park Zoo, they’ll be pouring Jacksonville’s own Bold City Brew@ the WaZoo beer festival. We’re very excited to be a part of this festival as it was rated one of the top 10 beer festivals by USA Today.

-   On Monday, August 19th, Big John Miller will be making a guest appearance @ the Blue Fish restaurant located in Avondale to pour his very own brew, Big John’s Apricot Wheat.

-   On Thursday August 22nd, Bold City will be a part of the beer workshop at the Museum of Science and History aka MOSH. Learn about the science behind beer making and taste a few of the local beer maker’s brews along the way. The Beer Workshop is at 6 p.m. and is limited to guests 21 and over. Cost is $20 per person, $15 for members. To register, click here.
