Né d'une mère anglaise et d'un père français, Anthony Lacoudre a grandi dans le bilinguisme. Cet avocat partageant sa vie entre Paris et New York s'est passionné pour la prédominance des mots d'origine française dans la langue anglaise. Il en a tiré un livre étonnant L'incroyable histoire des mots français en anglais où l'on apprend que les Américains ne parleraient finalement qu'un français anglicisé. In late 2001, a group of Afghan tribal leaders met to plan how to topple the Taliban.
