We're very (very, VERY) excited for the release of This Star Won't Go Out at the end of the month. Esther Grace Earl's friendship with John Green inspired the character of Hazel in The Fault in Our Stars. TSWGO is a collection of Esther's journals, fiction, letters and sketches. Esther, who passed away in 2010 at the age of 16, had a remarkable outlook on and exuberance for life. You'll hear plenty more from us about this incredible, touching book in the coming weeks, but for now, you can read more about TSWGO & place your pre-order with us over on our website.

Unhinged: Splintered Book 2 by A. G. Howard
On Sale 1/7

"OMG! Unhinged was everything I expected and more! Unhinged takes you deeper into Wonderland, more than I ever though possible. All the crazy fun characters from Splintered return with even more flair. Unhinged is the perfect rendition of Alice in Wonderland for teens. With an ending that will leave you begging for more, this book is a must read! I can't wait until the third book!"

 Vitro by Jessica Khoury

On Sale 1/14

"After reading Origin, Jessica Khoury's first book, I had high expectations for Vitro and it definitely hit the mark. I'm always intrigued by sci fi books about genetics; there are many different ways to tell that story and Vitro tells it wonderfully. The book has excellent world-building, is fast-paced, and has enough twists to keep you on the edge of your seat."

Storm: The Sylo Chronicles #2 by D. J. MacHale

On Sale 3/25

"For all of those Pendragon fans out there, get ready for D. J. MacHale's stunning continuation of his new series, The Sylo Chronicles. While Sylo was about a boy leaving his ravaged home for some place new, Storm is the story of searching for a home. I really enjoyed this book, not only because of the mystery and periodic comic relief, but more due to the way the characters interact, how we are never allowed to forget how young the main characters are, and how MacHale has created a world that is as plausible as it is impossible."

WHAT WE'RE READING RIGHT THIS MINUTE

For Darkness Shows the Stars by Diana Peterfreund

"This book. Like holy guacamole. How can a book be so darn amazing? When Elliot North's childhood friend - and more - left his family's property, Elliot was left mildly heartbroken and taking charge of the farm her family owns. But when he comes back with a group of reknowned explorers, secrets surface, and the past is tested - and perhaps not in the way Elliot would like. This book would be perfect for fans of dystopian books with a hint of romance, and a strong female lead! Loved this one so much it's hard to write a review!"

Goodbye, Rebel Blue by Shelley Coriell

"Shelly Coriell is one of those authors everyone should read, because even if you don't love her characters, you will appreciate her storylines and her wit. I think I cried and laughed at the same time while reading Goodbye, Rebel Blue, and that's a first. The book wasn't a love story. Sure, it had elements of romance, but this book is about Rebel. It's about her seeing that she can be someone other than who everyone believes her to be. It's about her seeing hope in her future, it's about family and friendship and love."

Rebel Belle by Rachel Hawkins

"This one doesn't come out until April (4/8/14). It was a fun story of, as the author puts it, "Legally Blonde meets The Terminator." Harper Prince, once the perfect image of a southern belle, is given super strength and lethal fighting instincts after a violent occurrence at a school dance. I loved the subtle Buffy the Vampire Slayer reference, and that Harper was allowed to enjoy both dressing up for school dances and an action movie other characters scorned for being "too guy-ish," because those two things aren't mutually exclusive. I bet this book will turn just about everyone who reads it into a Rachel Hawkins fan."
