1 - Congratulations, Coach Howard!
Congratulations to Wrestling Co-Coach, Tony Howard , for being inducted into the MPSSAA State Wrestling Hall of Fame
We couldn’t be more proud of Coach Howard for this well-deserved honor. What a tribute and recognition for all Coach Howard has done for wrestling not only at our school but throughout his coaching career. Congratulations, Coach!
2 - Winter Sports Champions
Two Wrestlers Make it to States
The MPSSAA Individual State Wrestling Tournament

Jack Connelly wrestled in the finals for 138lbs against a season rival from Sherwood. Jack had lost his previous two matches to the Sherwood wrestler by a total of 2 points. This would be an extremely difficult matchup for Jack . At the end of the night, Jack avenged those losses in OT and walked away MPSSAA STATE CHAMPION ! Click HERE to watch his amazing win.  Connelly was named to the Washington Post All-Met first team to finish out his high school career. Congrats, Jack!
Earlier that night, Andrew Welch got the night started off right with a win in the 3 rd  place match of the 195lbs contest. Andrew finished the season with an amazing 49-5 record.
Swimming Coach Tappis is Coach of the Year
Congratulations to Coach Chris Tappis, All-Met Coach of the Year . Coach Tappis led the boys in an undefeated season and the first public school to win the state title in almost 30 years.
Two of our Bulldogs earned an Honorable Mention to the All-Met team. Way to go, Noah Rutberg and Steven Mendley!
Jack Taylor is Hockey Player of the Year
The Washington Post also named senior Jack Taylor Player of the Year for his help in leading the hockey team to the state title. Our congratulations to Jack on a stellar season and the best of luck as he continues his lacrosse career at Brown University next year. You can read about it HERE .
3 - Chuck Stevens Honored on April 21
Join the Bulldogs baseball team and 50 years of Churchill alumni on Saturday, April 21, for the unveiling of the bronze plaque that will be installed permanently on Chuck Stevens Field. Festivities to honor Coach Stevens will take place prior to the baseball game against Wheaton, beginning at 12:30pm with an on-field presentation by Scott Sorkin. There will be tailgating in the parking lot adjacent to the field so plan to come and celebrate Coach Stevens and cheer on the baseball team!

About the app:  Started by two former Cornell baseball captains, Rapid Replay is the best new way to capture, relive and share all of your favorite sports memories.

The in-app camera is designed to  never miss a highlight.  When filming, just tap “STOP” after a great play and the app will automatically clip the last 15 seconds of action, so all you’re left with is the highlight. What’s more, when multiple fans film the same play, the app will sync together a super-highlight so you’re able to see every angle filmed!

Not able to make the game? Follow along with the  real-time video highlights  on the Rapid Replay app. Every video is organized by team, game and play!

Looking to share your favorite plays? You can share videos via social media or text right from the app with one push of a button!
