Service, the theme for this year's conference is "Celebrating Boston Harbor: Lighting the Way Forward".

Summer F&J is live!

The spring issue of MME's quarterly newsletter, F&J, is now online and available here. The theme for this edition is Fisheries Management. Featured is a piece titled "The Ins and Outs of Fisheries Management in New England" by Tina Berger and Amy Hirrlinger from the Atlantic States Marine Fisheries Commission.

2016 Ocean Literacy Summit - Save the date for the New England Ocean Science Education Collaborative's biennial OL Summit which will be held November 3-4, 2016 on the working waterfront in Portland, Maine. This event  will focus on the latest research and education activities surrounding Ocean Literacy Principle #3: "The ocean is a major influence on weather in climate." Atlantic Miniboat Regatta -  Join schools from countries around the Atlantic who will work with local marine experts to launch and track 5-foot unmanned sailing vessels. Through these "miniboats", students will become practicing oceanographers, and together with their international peers will monitor Atlantic Ocean currents and wind cycles. Click here for more information.

Stellwagen Sanctuary Film Fest - Join the Stellwagen Bank National Marine Sanctuary for its free, Tuesday night film series this summer through August 16th. A listing of films and details on the location can be found here.

Coastal Studies for Girls - This 16-week residential program offers extensive marine science and leadership content to 10th grade girls, and is accepting applications on a rolling basis. Girls entering Grade 9 in the coming year are encouraged to visit the CSG website and apply!
