Greetings!
Here in Boston we are enjoying some great spring weather and we hope you are too! As we are gearing up for CLEO 2012 slated for May 8-10 in San Jose, California we want to share details on what we are working on for the show.
We will be exhibiting at our partner Thorlabs' Booth 1807 where we will be demonstrating some of our exciting new technologies.
On hand we will have our new MEMS Optical Modulator. The device was designed for use in free space optical communication systems and can be used as a programmable optical chopper. The modulator is a reflective diffraction grating with controllable groove depth. It is capable of continuous far field intensity variation of a reflected laser beam by varying either between an unpowered flat mirror-state and a powered diffractive-state either gradually or in a binary fashion.
We will also have our new Wavefront Sensorless Adaptive Optics Demonstrator for laser beam shaping applications. This product provides a platform for utilizing metric-based wavefront control with BMC MEMS deformable mirror (DM) technology. While conventional AO systems perform closed-loop DM control using direct measurements of the wavefront as feedback, the metric-based approach uses details in the aberrated light to improve clarity.
For more detail on these products see the links to the right.
Also, see below for our booth location and show hours.
