Innovations for a World Market:
Manufacturing in the Naugatuck Valley
CEO's

A century ago manufacturing was the lifeblood of the Naugatuck Valley. But as global economies changed, the largest corporations left the region, creating a popular misconception that the industry is gone. In truth, numerous metal manufacturers are still based in the valley.

Three companies are highlighted in this exhibition:
The Platt Brothers  & Company
The Eastern Company
Stewart EFI  L.L.C
Each company represents a different aspect of how the region's manufacturers have survived and flourished in a global economy.
