Greetings!

Summer is here with soaring record heat.  To some, this time of year is merely another month on the calendar, to others it is the month in which we celebrate the formation of a great country.  To most it's a time of back yard barbecues, relaxing by the pool and family vacations but to us at Boudreaux Associates, it is a time to introduce all the new and exciting products that we found at the June market.

Sending Inspiration and Gratitude,

Glen Boudreaux, RID, ASID, BPN, IDG
Veronica Eddins, IDG

INTERIOR SOLUTIONS

What a whirl wind at market!  With both the furniture and lighting markets now behind us, we can take a breath and let all the wonderful things we've found sink in. Below are some of the items that caught our team's attention while at market.

Viz Art Glass

Viz Art Glass is one of the most impressive finds that our team ran across at market.  The vivid shapes and colors are artfully shaped by skilled craftsmen to make every piece come alive.  The time-honored craft of hand-blown glass makes every design exceptional.  Because their glass is made in small batches and the processes are performed by hand, you can be sure each piece is a unique, individual work of art.

Sedersi

This tasteful line always shines at market.  They continue to bring innovative and creative design ideas to the market every year. This year is no exception with the sensuous curves of these chairs.   We have seen curvaceous furniture before in antiques and it is being revived in today's furniture with a more effortless and progressive interpretation.

Lamp Works

Some times we run across finds that are such a delight.  This line of lamps are little pieces of art in themselves.  Lamp Works designs impeccably blend classic style with 21st century technology.  They have an ability to create pieces that are part of nature but embody sleek modern design.

Ryan Studio

These exquisite, hand crafted pillows are like jewelry for the home. With this great find you can now change the look of your rooms as much as you change your personal accessories.  Creative fabrics and styles are what sets this company apart from their competition. The workmanship and excellent attention to detail is what caught our eye in this pillow line.

Portofino Silk Bedding

Market is not just about furniture. How much time do we all spend in bed? Not enough if you ask most of us.  If we all had this luxurious silk bedding, I think most of us would find a reason to stay in bed as long as possible.  Silk bedding has been used in Europe for a number of years and is slowly being introduced into the US.  It's light weight, durable and can be used year round.  It helps regulate the body temperature through out the night so you can get a good nights sleep.  It's 100% natural and hypo-allergenic.  This bedding will transport you to a faraway place to relax and rejuvenate.

ARTISAN ANGLE

This Renaissance man is a website and software developer by day and photographer extraordinare by...well day. He finds time in his busy schedule to exercise both sides of his brain.  Kelly Shipp has just been awarded 4 awards (three 1st place) in the PPA for Arkansas and on his way to securing the title of Photographer of the Year!! Kelly Shipp is brand new to the Dallas scene and has very promising talent.  We are pleased to introduce his work.

Where One Day Ends, One Day Begins

"Where One Day Ends, One Day Begins", pictured above, is an infrared image that took a few weeks of planning. Kelly shot this with a fisheye lens to get the upper curvature of the horizon, and to help direct the viewer to the tree, then the moon.  He planned this so that he could let the setting sun light the top-half of the tree, while the moon rose just above the tree, hence the title...

This photograph has been chosen as one of the finalist by Canon in the contest Project Imagina8ion.  It is one of the top ten images that Ron Howard is considering, to inspire his next short film this summer.

  Majestic Reflections

We have been captivated by the breath taking delicacy of the undisturbed beauty of the winter landscape.  Some might not understand when we say a winter garden is beautiful but looking at this picture one can't help to hum the song "Winter Wonderland".

Kelly Shipp Winter Sunset

Winter Sunset

Not only do the crisp winter landscapes make you gasp in wonder but the vivid colors of this winter's sunset takes your breath away. The colors come alive in this photograph, captures your attention and just wont let go. The deep, rich saturated hues splash the sky as if on a canvas created by a master artist.

Dallas Heritage Village

As you can see below, Glen had to take time to experience being a teacher in one of the first classrooms in Dallas!  He recently took a tour to learn about our rich Texas history and view the architecture of the Dallas' pioneers.  Heritage Village, south of downtown Dallas, is home to the largest collection of 19th century pioneer homes, Victorian houses and commercial buildings in Texas.
