Thanks to a generous donation by a partner who wishes to remain nameless, Bourbon Lane Stable will have a forever home for our equine athletes at the conclusion of their racing careers.

Bourbon Lane Stable is developing a responsible program to insure that our equine athletes have careers and homes once their first career has ended. Please contact us if you wish to participate or learn more.

Bourbon Courage had a nice breeze yesterday morning. The swelling in his ankle subsided normally without issue and we will go to the Texas Mile G3 on the 26th.

Fractions were 12.96-12.92-12.06-11.29= 49.33 out in 12.83 and the rider kept him from going out too strong.

The Alysheba at Churchill was also under consideration but is coming up very tough. Although the Texas Mile is a short stretch Kellyn thinks BC will handle a mile.

Bourbonize is now a stakes winner! He ran a 93 Equibase figure and an 87 Beyer. Unfortunately he came out of the race sore.  Dr Bramlage at Rood & Riddle Equine Hospital says we need 30 days off for a strained high suspensory in the right hind.  He thinks the other soreness was mostly what we refer to as being "body sore" and will resolve.  We view this as promising news but for some reason we are all a little afraid that this is optimistic.  Just the same we will follow the protocol and hope for the best.  Bourbonize is at Winstar resting up.


Tiger Bourbon worked 4f in 51.4 on 4/19 at Churchill Downs he was 55/62. This was a maintenance work on the dirt and Eddie is planning on working on the turf next week. Eddie has nominated him for The American Turf G2 for straight 3yo's, a mile and one-sixteenth. This race is on the undercard on Kentucky Derby day, May 3 and is just a possibility at this time.
Bourbon Warfare is getting back in shape at WinStar, training well.

Justonemorebourbon is shedding out and looking good.
BL 2yo '13

Bourbon Sense worked 4f in 49.6 on 04/12 at Keeneland. This week he worked 5f in 1.00:00 on 4/19 at Keeneland. He looks good after his breeze and we are looking at a maiden race on the turf going a mile on April 26 at Churchill Downs.


La Reine Bourbon worked 4f in 46.6 on 04/13 at Keeneland. This week she worked 4f in 51:00 on 4/20 at Keeneland. She will breeze one more time in company then there is a sprint race on May 18th at Presque Isle Downs. There is still a possibility that Keeneland will hold a sprint on the poly on closing day (April 25) and if so, we will enter her there.

Bourbonstateofmind is looking very well. We saw her while in Ocala for the 2-year-old sale. She is up to jogging and a light gallop. She is being eased back into training and feeling good about it. Her attitude has not changed and wants to do more. Click on the photo link to see more pictures of her under tack and training.

Bent on Bourbon is up to baby breezes, going in and out of the gate, and doing very well.

Bourbon Happens has good reports and Charlie is very happy with him.

BL Horses of Racing Age

Both Timeless Indy and Fanny Brice are claimed and we will distribute the claim money and and expense account, once all bills are paid.  Partners can request a check for the distribution or inform us by email or fax if they would like to roll this money into the two year old partnership.  California remains a tough nut for us to crack!!

Super Saver- Waltzing With Deb (colt)  worked 3f in 39.6 on 04/13 at Keeneland. This week he worked 3f in 36.8 on 4/19 at Keeneland. He went a very nice 3/8ths last weekend. 








Stroll- Bend (colt) worked 3f in 38.6 on 04/13 at Keeneland. He was not able to work this week due to stocked up hind legs. It is nothing serious and most likely a virus.







We are in Ocala this week for the OBS April sale. We bought La Reine Bourbon out of this sale last year and she went on to win first out in Saratoga.
