New Laptops with grant!

The Brandon Public Library received a grant from the Fond du Lac Area Foundation for the purchase of two additional laptop computers.  For over 40 years, the Fond du Lac Area Foundation has been helping area nonprofit organizations achieve their goals and better the community.  The mission of the Brandon Public Library is to provide people of all ages with the means to access the recorded wisdom, experiences, and ideas of others. This latest step resulted from a partnership with Marian University, as one of the students wrote the grant on behalf of the library for a project. Access to computers i s an ongoing need and convenience for people of all ages, whether learning how to use a computer, downloading books, checking emails, doing homework, or applying for jobs.  As the laptops are available for use at the library, our goal is to start an after - school program for area children and use these laptops to replace some of the computers that are now outdated.
To find more information about any organization that made this possible, you can find Brandon Public Library, Fond du Lac Area Foundation, or Marion University on Facebook, or on the web a twww.brandonlibrary.nethttp://www.fdlareafoundation.com, and https://www.marianuniversity.edu
