The Chamber would like to express our deepest condolences to the Gyger family on the passing of Tom. Jennilee, Ski Patrol Director for Shawnee Peak, summarized Tom’s professional achievements:
“Most of you are aware that Tom was an instrumental member of our Patrol family, a member for 50 years. (1967-Present) Tom first joined Pats Peak Ski patrol in 1967 before moving to Maine in 1979. He and his wife June were the driving factors behind our volunteer patrol for many years, Tom having been the Volunteer Patrol Director. Over the years Tom has been an instructor, developer, senior program director, Maine Region Medical advisor, Maine Region Awards advisor, Eastern Division Junior program advisor and OEC course instructor. Tom received a National Appointment number (#5922) in 1981, was inducted into the Maine Ski Hall of Fame in 2014, was awarded a distinguished service award and most recently received a 50 year patroller achievement award. Tom impressively volunteered hundreds of hours, probably thousands of hours of his time while holding all of these positions and simultaneously ran an Apple Orchard and cross country ski center (Five Fields Farm).
Happy Birthday Bridgton!
Bridgton celebrated its 250th birthday this past Saturday at the Bridgton Community Center. It was a great day! The Chamber was on hand giving out free cotton candy and popcorn.

From the Inn keepers
"We are happy to invite our community and all who are in the area to attend house concerts at Noble House Inn. You are always welcome to arrive from 6 pm on and the concerts begin at 6:30 and go until around 8:30 with a break about halfway through generally. Please RSVP by email as seating for the inside concerts is limited to 30 and if the weather is bad, the summer concerts have to move inside and the first to rsvp will be attending. Please be courteous to the guests for the inn and leave the front parking lot available for them. There is parking in the back and alone the street in the summer and my neighbors don’t mind! For the winter, I will have cones out reserving the spaces I need for guests and you can park anywhere that is available. The summer concerts [June, July, and August] are outside, weather permitting, so please bring blankets, chairs, and bug spray - whatever you need to be comfortable. Light snacks, wine, water, and sodas are available for purchase and you are welcome to bring your own snacks, drinks or picnic BUT NO ALCOHOL please! - my liquor license does not permit it! Come enjoy the music!!! There is a link provided for each artist which provides more information and music samples from each performer. If you want to be on the mailing list for concerts ONLY - please let us know by email and we will let you know each time a house concert is coming here."
Advanced ride tickets are available at the Harrison General Store and the Village Tie Up. They are $5 for a strip of 5. Each advanced ride ticket is good for one ride regardless of what the sign says at the ride. For example, if the ride says it requires 4 tickets per rider, you will only have to give them one ride ticket per rider. These are on sale only until noon on July 5th. These tickets are only good for this year's Harrison Old Home Days and are non refundable.
