2016 Friday Film Festival a tremendous success

The Friday Film Festival has become a summer staple in the heart of downtown Jackson. With the help of local sponsors, the Michigan Theatre of Jackson, and volunteers, this event has become a hit for the whole family!

"I think this event is unique in that it truly caters to all ages. We try to choose films that are family friendly classics, that would appeal to parents who may have grown up with them. It was our goal to seek sponsors to ensure that the festival remains free to anyone in our community. We were so fortunate for Phil Tripp, of Tripp's Auto Shop, and his amazing support." DDA Board of Directors member Kathryn Snyder says.

"I am thrilled at how well the community has supported the Friday Film Festival with their attendance and positive feedback. I can only hope that as these children grow up they think of events like this in downtown Jackson."

The finale of the Friday Film Festival is E.T. The Extra Terrestrial by Stephen King showing this Friday, August 5, 2016 at about 9:15pm in Horace Blackman Park.
