Project News  

Carnegie Mellon moved forward with its next significant projects, selecting Landau Building Co. for the $3.5 million Warner Hall renovation and interviewing finalists for the $20 million Posner Hall project. PJ Dick has started construction on the $6-7 million renovation of the former Cadillac dealership at Craft Place and the Boulevard in Oakland into offices. St. Vincent University finalized its list of contractors for its $14 million library project. Jendoco, Landau, Mascaro, Massaro, PJ Dick, and Poole Anderson will be asked to propose on the project. Washington County awarded a $2.4 million contract to DiMarco Construction for the County Airport Public Safety and JPO Training Buildings. A contractor was chosen for the 183-unit, $30 million Solana at Cranberry project. Go to BuildingPittsburgh to see which contractor was chosen.

Josh Pisarcik has joined Allegheny Construction Group as director of project development.

MacLachlan Cornelius & Filoni announced that Timothy L. Powers, AIA has become the new President of the firm, replacing Kenneth Lee, who will remain MCF's CEO until he retires at the end of 2018. MCF also announced that Alan Hohlfelder, AIA will transition to MCF's Vice President, after 23 years as Corporate Treasurer. Bill Szymczak, RA with over 34 years service at MCF, will continue as a Principal and Corporate Secretary. John M. Evans, AIA was named MCF's newest Principal and Corporate Treasurer.
