July 2016
Message from the CEO
July is National "Make a Difference for Children Month". Many of us look back on the adults that made a difference in our life; those who challenged and inspired us and those who were there to support us through the more challenging times; teachers, family members, coaches, clergy, neighbors, family friends, etc.

There is no greater need in life than to belong, to be connected, and know that our life matters and has a meaning and purpose.

Many hours are spent each day, week, month, and year investing time and resources in many things. There is no greater investment to be made than in a child's life to help shape, direct, guide, lead and inspire their life's direction.

National Make a Difference for Children Month
In honor of National  Make a Difference for Children month, we would like to recognize those among us who go above and beyond each and every day to make a meaningful difference in the lives of Brevard's children.

We have highlighted a few of the many outstanding child advocates in our community who tirelessly invest in our children and families.  Thank you for being an integral part of Brevard's System of Care.

Make a Difference
There are many ways that you can make a difference in the lives of the children and families that we serve.

Volunteers Make a Big Difference
Offering your valuable time and talents can help change lives.  Read the article below for additional information on volunteer opportunities with Brevard Family Partnership (BFP).

Provide In-Kind Donations of Products or Services
Sometimes, it's the little things that can make a big difference in a child or family's life. An oil change. Automobile or appliance repair. A haircut and new outfit for a child heading back to school or parent interviewing for a new job. Any of these can be a positive game-changer for a family in need.

You can also invite a staff member from BFP to speak to the employees of your business or the members of your organization, association, or congregation.

Support BFP Through Your Generous Financial Contributions
Through your tax-deductible financial gift, BFP can continue to provide the support and services that help so many children and families.  Your contribution stays right here in our community, helping Brevard's children and families.

We Need Your Help!
Brevard Family Partnership is looking for volunteers who are passionate about children's issues and would like to volunteer their time to support our agency.

Volunteers are being sought for Brevard Family Partnership and Brevard C.A.R.E.S. The agency's mission is to protect children, strengthen families and change lives through the prevention of child abuse and the operation and management of a comprehensive, integrated community-based System of Care for abused, abandoned and neglected children and their families. For the past ten years, Brevard Family Partnership and its many community partners have led the way in reducing the incidences of child abuse and neglect in Brevard, while strengthening families so that parents and children can safely remain together, in their homes and community.

Volunteer opportunities exist in the areas of in-office administrative and clerical support, child mentoring, child and family transportation, special event staffing and community outreach.

Please contact Cyndi Hernandez, Human Resources Manager, via email at Cyndi.hernandez@brevardfp.org for more information, or visit our website to complete the volunteer application here.

Don't miss this opportunity to help give back to your community!
