JFK Lancer Mary Ferrell "New Frontier" Award 2011 winner, Brian Edwards, served as a police officer with the Lawrence, Kansas Police Department for 22 years and worked in many divisions within the department- Accident Investigation; instructor in the department's police academy, firearms instructor; Lead Photographer with department's Crime Scene Search Team, and served 7 years on the department's tactical response team as a counter-sniper. Today, Brian is as an insurance investigator with a company out of Dallas. He holds both an undergraduate and graduate degree in Criminal Justice from Washburn University in Topeka, Kansas and served as an adjunct instructor in the Criminal Justice Department for 10 years. He and Casey Quinlan were adjunct instructors at several universities in Kansas, including, Wichita State University, Friends University and Johnson County College. Edwards began studying the JFK assassination in 1969 and has collected over 400 books on the subject. He has interviewed numerous eyewitnesses who were in Dealey Plaza that day, including Secret Service agents in the motorcade, Dallas police officers, doctors from Parkland and medical personnel from Bethesda. Brian and Casey Quinlan published "Beyond The Fence Line: The Eyewitness Account of Ed Hoffman and the Murder of President Kennedy" in 2008, now available on Kindle. Brian is currently working on a second book about the assassination entitled, "A Tactical Analysis of the Assassination of President Kennedy" and hopes to have it completed next fall.

 


Casey Quinlan
 

JFK Lancer Mary Ferrell "New Frontier" Award 2011 winner, Casey Quinlan, was 13 years old when President John F. Kennedy was murdered and has read more than 1100 books in seeking the truth. He is a retired Social Studies Instructor from the Olathe School District and has been in the classroom for 40 years. He has a Master's Degree in American History from Emporia State University. He is an Adjunct Professor at Friends University in Wichita, Mid America Nazarene University in Olathe, Kansas; A Guest Lecturer For "The Landon Lecture Series" at Kansas State University; A Guest Lecturer for "The William Allen White School of Journalism" at the University of Kansas; and is currently an Adjunct Professor with the Criminal Justice Department at Washburn University in Topeka, Kansas and the Continuing Education Program at Ottawa University in Ottawa, Kansas. 30 years ago, Quinlan formed an educational organization entitled "Project JFK/CSI Dallas" where his students toured Dallas, Texas, visited the assassination site in historic Dealey Plaza and met actual eyewitnesses. He continues to make frequent appearances for local TV and radio programs. He served as a consultant for A & E (Arts & Entertainment) helping to establish Oliver Stone's historical documentation of the film, "JFK". His co-authored the book, "Beyond the Fence Line: The Eyewitness Account of Ed Hoffman and the Murder of President Kennedy" is published by JFK Lancer. He has a Gaming License for Caesars Entertainment and is a Black Jack Dealer at Harrah's in North Kansas City, Missouri.
