Thank you to all who supported our Art Therapy campaign through Power2give.org and Fund for the Arts! With your help, we raised over $3,000 for Bridgehaven's art therapy program. Here's Danielle, who is very grateful!

As many of you know, one of our beloved pet therapists, Aidan, has a rare form of cancer but is still working every day in her official capacity as supporter and friend to all of us here at Bridgehaven.
Friends of our pet therapy program started a campaign to help pay for Aidan's hospital bills. To contribute click here and write Aidan in the note section. Thank you for caring about our furry friend...she appreciates you!

Meet our newest staff members
|
Lindsey Allen
helps people emotionally, spiritually, and mentally in times of joy and in times of hurt through therapy. She is pursuing Marriage and Family Therapy licensure status by working in private practice, as well as in case management. She provides the members the necessities in the community to live life better. Where there is fun and free time, there is a way! Lindsey takes cake decorating classes, loves to play board games with her husband and even plays pickleball. What's that...just ask! Thanks, Lindsey, for sharing your talent with us!
Jennifer Hall comes to Bridgehaven as a mental health professional in peer support! After graduating from Indiana University Southeast with a degree in Psychology, Jennifer did graduate work in Human Geography (studying people, places and things with a spatial component). Before Bridgehaven, Jennifer was a Postpartum Doula taking care of new moms! She's a mom of two, can make maps and she speaks German. She loves the Bridgehaven community, the appreciation of art, the spirit of giving back, and the respect and support shown by members and staff to each other! We're so glad you're here, Jennifer!
Andrea Jones was diagnosed with manic depression the summer after her freshman year at IU, before the idea of mental health recovery was well accepted. She earned her BA in Journalism while competing on sports teams, and a Master of Arts in Teaching from Bellarmine University. Andrea is thankful to have gone through Kentucky Peer Specialist Training, and is eager to help her peers through the mental health recovery process. You'll be valuable to Bridgehaven, Andrea!
Michael Kapfhammer
has a BA in Communications from Bellarmine and went to Providence High School. He's a big University of Louisville fan, with season tickets to both football and basketball. Michael thinks the world of Bridgehaven and feels very fortunate to be here. Although it is vastly different than his business background, he says it's exactly where he is supposed to be. Michael has two daughters: Lilly, seven, attends St. Raphael and Sydney, four, is still at home! Congratulations Michael!
Ruby McCleskey comes to Bridgehaven as an advanced practice nurse. She also has a Master's Degree in
Social Work and post-graduate degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. Ruby's career has been spent with both adults and children, focusing on building stronger relationships as a way to a more confident, successful life. We're glad to have you on board, Ruby!
Samantha Pillersdorf
previously worked at an animal shelter.
She also has experience in political campaigns including Janet Stumbo's bids for Court of Appeals and for the Kentucky Supreme Court. Samantha uses her quilting skills to create patterns within her seven groups at Bridgehaven. Samantha tells us she likes Bridgehaven because it's an open, nurturing environment for both members and staff.
Welcome, Samantha!

Take Me Out to the Ball Game! |
On a sunny day in July,
Bridgehaven baseball enthusiasts joined thousands of other Bats fans at a home game in Louisville Slugger Stadium. Clinical Therapist Linda Luking arranged for the members to enjoy an evening replete with free hot dogs and drinks in addition to the marvelous entertainment of baseball! Linda feels that being with members at outside activities gives her a much greater understanding of the individuals, and is better able to help them face their challenges.
We want to thank the Louisville Bats for their donation of 40 tickets!
