4 WEEK VOICE-OVER CLASS
Limited to 13 Actors! Ages 9 - 18 Welcome! All Skill Levels!
Work in a real voice-over recording studio with an experienced Voice-Over/Broadway Actor, Jennifer Hemphill who will teach important lingo that is specific to VO as well as proper VO acting technique and VO audition technique. This class will focus on commercial VO acting and animation sides for cartoons and animated features.
At the end of each class, every student will receive an MP3 of their work.
Final Presentation for Agents and Casting Director: At the end of the four weeks, three industry guests including 2 VO agents and a VO casting director will come in to hear the kids present the material they have honed in the first few sessions. Aside from giving feedback and coaching to each participant, the industry pro's are also scouting for new talent!

This course is for a select group of students who are ready for more advanced study. Students ages 7-11 will work with Broadway performer, Briana Carlson-Goodman (DOCTOR ZHIVAGO, LES MISERABLES, HAIR) and a music director on audition technique, acting through song, and in depth monologue work.
The focus of class will be on text analysis, how to connect emotionally to the lyric, proper audition technique and character development.
By the end of the 8 weeks, actors will have at least one, if not two, contrasting songs that are "audition ready."
The class is geared toward young actors who are serious about their work. A considerable amount of memorization will be required.
The program culminates with a Final Showcase for friends, family as well as agents and managers in which students perform their songs and monologues!

In this 8 week class, students will explore musical theatre and acting through a series of workshops and exercises designed to promote creativity and train the young mind and body with Broadway's Halle Morse. Young actors will not only work on their confidence and performance skills but also their knowledge of theatre and its history. From Stage Combat to musical theatre technique, this all encompassing course will give kids a practical understanding of the performing arts and have them clamoring for more!
Each week we will explore a different aspect of the performing arts including improvisation, stage combat, dance, musical theatre performance skills, audition skills for commercial work & more!

It's often challenging to get in front of Talent Agents and Managers. A Class Act NY's industry showcases and productions provide aspiring actors the unbelievable opportunity to perform for over 20 industry professionals in one evening.
Previous participants are now working professionally and are appearing on Broadway, in television series, films and commercials. Click here to read about some of our students' professional progress.
The biggest agencies in town attend our showcases including CESD, Abrams Artists, Don Buchwald & Associates, Generation T.V., Shirley Grant Management, Carson Adler, About Face, Carson Kolker, Zoom Management, Parkside Management + many more.
Ages: 4 - Mid 20's. The showcase is by audition only. It is free to audition.If cast, we work with performers in two private coaching sessions prior to the Showcase.

Video Submissions: If you live well outside of NYC but are willing to relocate or travel should you get representation, we accept video submissions.
Prepare: One-minute contemporary age-appropriate monologue from a published straight play. Pieces should be conversational in tone.
Bring 2 copies of your monologue to your audition. Casual dress.
Monologues to Avoid:
Charlie Brown, The Fantastiks, The Wizard of Oz, and
Alice in Wonderland and nothing classical, like Shakespeare. Also, the monologues must not be from a musical or compilation book. The piece
must be from a straight play.
If you are a Singer: Sing 16 bars a cappella of a musical theatre song that is age-appropriate. If you are cast as a singer, you will have an accompanist at rehearsals and the showcase.

and anything that is not age appropriate.
