First up, I may NOT be politically correct, but I MUST say this:

I watched over the weekend-in SHOCK AND AWE-at the hoopla, parades, balls, and protests in our nation's capitol and wondered, "What is all the FIGHTING about!??"
Was it not the late Rodney King who said:
"People, I just want to say, you know, can we all get along? Can we get along? Can we stop making it, making it horrible for the older people and the kids? ... It's just not right. It's not right. It's not, it's not going to change anything. We'll, we'll get our justice ... Please, we can get along here. We all can get along. I mean, we're all stuck here for a while. Let's try to work it out. Let's try to beat it. Let's try to beat it. Let's try to work it out."
It was the Apostle James who wrote:

1 From whence come wars and fightings among you? come they not hence, even
of your lusts that war in your members?

I did REJOICE, however, when I watched the Rev. Franklin Graham PRAY this PRAYER at the inauguration:

1 I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and
giving of thanks, be made for all men;
2 For kings, and for
all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.

4 Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.
It was Jesus who declared:

Perhaps THIS should be the PRAYER PRAYED??????

OUR message/OUR duty/OUR marching orders were clearly defined by the Lord Jesus Christ:

TODAY, each of US can change this world!!!
It can all be summed up in one Word-LOVE!!!

As I rode back from burying a beloved high school friend/ex-sweetheart's husband this past Friday, a song came on my high school best friend's radio:
I was very familiar with the tune but had never paid any attention to its lyrics.
