Buddy Baseball September 2017 Newsletter

Hello Buddy Baseball Fans,

Our 17th season is almost here! A big welcome to the many new players, buddies and coaches this season!

We will start the season off with our Meet and Greet luncheon on Saturday, September 23rd at the Lightfoot Center in Temple Terrace - details below. For those of you new to Buddy Baseball, the Meet and Greet is a chance for the players, buddies, coaches and parents to get to know each other before the season starts. We will be handing out team uniforms at the event.

Opening day will be September 30th. The Tampa Breakfast Sertoma Club will be grilling hamburgers and hot dogs for us from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm. If you have the late game that day, come early for lunch.

We hope that everybody came out of Hurricane Irma okay.

Meet and Greet

Meet and Greet

The Meet and Greet luncheon will be held on Saturday 9/23. We will be serving McDonalds cheeseburgers, chicken nuggets, deli sandwiches, salad, fruit, chips, cookies and drinks.

Session 1: 11:15 am - 12:00 pm

Blazers, Bobcats, Cobras, Cyclones,

Hawks, Hit Squad, Rocket, Sharks

Session 2: 1:00 pm - 1:45 pm

Bombers, Jaguars, Mustangs, Ravens,

Rockets, Thunder, Tigers, Wildcats

Buddy Training

Our Buddy training for our new buddies and coaches will be held the same day as the Meet and Greet from 12:00 pm to 12:40 pm. Buddy training is also open to returning buddies and coaches if they would like a refresher.

Need lunch or dinner plans on Thursday 9/21/2017? Join us at Burger 21 in New Tampa. 10% of the sales that day will be donated to Buddy Baseball.

Buddy Run

Please join us for the 7th Annual Buddy Run fundraiser on Sunday Morning, November 5th at Trout Creek - Wilderness Park. There will be a 5K Race, a 1 Mile Fun Run and the Buddy Dash for our runners with special needs. Click on the link for all the information and to register.
