Hallmark recognized a unique milestone this month when it celebrated 20 years of service to Jacksonville since it's founding in 1993 by Principals Jeff Conn and Alex Coley
Hallmark employees and their guests were treated to a casual low country boil and oyster roast located on the riverfront lawn of the pending Beacon multi-family project in historic Riverside. The crisp evening air was softened by an open fire, tea lights strung across the oak trees and a intense cornhole contest using custom made NAI boards carefully built by Broker Associate Daniel Burkhardt. The event details were thoughtfully managed by a team of employees lead by Office Manager/Receptionist Janine King and a great time was had by all. In the end, the event was a celebration of a great Hallmark team and caring business culture that was seeded 20 years ago and continues to be nurtured by Hallmark's founders.

Hallmark invites "Walkable City"
Author Jeff Speck to Jacksonville

 It's no surprise world renown Urbanist Jeff Speck's TED Talk has received nearly 285,000 views since it was posted in October. The 17 minute presentation details how we can, and moreover why we should, free ourselves from dependence on the car -- which he calls "a gas-belching, time-wasting, life-threatening prosthetic device" -- by making our cities more walkable and more pleasant for more people. Hallmark made the call to Jeff and he accepted an invitation to bring his lessons to Jacksonville.
The Business Journal and a great group of sponsors are hosting Jeff and an elite panel of city leaders Dec 10.

Despite the score at the end of the Jaguars game in London, one thing was clear: Jacksonville was a huge winner.
 I was fortunate to be in London on business and expanded my trip to include entertaining clients at the Jaguars game.
What Wayne Weaver did for Jacksonville on a national level, Shad Khan and his outstanding executive team are doing on an international level.
Jacksonville was everywhere. From print to radio, TV to digital, Jacksonville was as common a reference as Premier League soccer and the christening of Prince George. An estimated 40,000 fans were at Trafalgar Square for a pep rally.
The next day we attended a tailgate party on the grounds of Wembley Stadium, which was clad in Jaguars graphics. About 83,000 ticketed fans were entertained by Jaxon De Ville, Jaguars cheerleaders and the drum line. Lines at souvenir stands outside the stadium stacked 40 fans deep to buy Jaguars items, which sold out. Teal and black dotted the landscape.

CCIM Designation

 Daniel Burkhardt, MSRE, CCIM of NAI Hallmark Partners was awarded the Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) designation by the CCIM Institute on October 24th. Mr. Burkhardt was one of 221 new Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) designees, and at 24 years old, was the youngest in the State of Florida welcomed during its annual meeting in Denver. The CCIM Institute confers the CCIM designation, commercial real estate's global standard for professional achievement. To earn the prestigious CCIM designation, commercial real estate professionals must complete more than 200 hours of case-study driven education covering topics such as interest-based negotiation, financial analysis, market analysis, user decision analysis, investment analysis, and ethics for commercial investment real estate. Candidates must also compile a portfolio demonstrating the depth of their commercial real estate experience and pass a comprehensive examination.
