Whether we are volunteering, hanging out at our monthly huddles or at our
yearly summer picnic and holiday party, everyone at SC Builders enjoys having a great time. We are passionate about building and it is especially rewarding to work together to help our community.

Co-founder Sam Abbey took time off from the commercial construction industry to join the Peace Corps where he spent time working in Africa and South America improving the lives of others. The importance of community is at the core of SC Builders' values and we encourage involvement by matching up to $500 per year  for each employee's contributions.

See below for a few of our 2017 events.
"It's inspiring to be able to take a step back and recognize the role   SC Builders has played in the growth of world leaders of design, technology, and workplace strategy. SC Builders' clients are continuously making global headlines for advances in their field which are directly tied to projects completed by our team."

Todd Merrill
Estimator/Project Manager
"Since joining SC Builders 4 years ago, I've watched us advance from taking on small ground-ups to a level where we're being awarded significant ground-ups with top-tier Silicon Valley tech companies and development groups. It's an exciting time to be part of this team and to be growing alongside world class repeat clients."

Dustin Johnson
Project Engineer
"The growth of SC Builders' San Francisco office since it opened five years ago has been extraordinary given our humble beginnings: a four person, 150 sq. ft. office within a shared work space. As we've expanded and relocated (more than once) we've maintained strong client relationships, which have resulted in small service contracts/misc. work developing into premier multi-million dollar projects."

Nido Quartaroli
Project Manager
"For me, SC Builders has strongly maintained a great family-feel throughout the years which speaks to how smart we've grown. From the office to the field, we're all in it together and are ready to get
the job done."

Chris Carcia
Superintendent
"Having been with SC Builders for over 3 years now, it is impressive to see how much the company has grown. The success of SC Builders is evident when looking back at what's been completed and looking ahead at what's to come. It is great to be part of a team with extremely hard-working and experienced individuals."

TIME TRANSPORTER PLAYHOUSE
SC Builders, along with Hayes Group Architects, created a unique children's playhouse for the Dreams Happen Gala & Playhouse Auction for Rebuilding Together Peninsula. The Time Transporter was on display at the Stanford Shopping Center, patiently waiting to be auctioned off. Proceeds collected for all donated playhouses will help cover the operating costs for Rebuilding Together's Peninsula location, allowing them the opportunity to continue to provide housing for the community.
DAY ON THE BEACH
For the p ast six y ears, SC Builders has partnered with Shared Adventures for a Day on the Beach, which he lps provide a fun-filled day of outdoor activities for people with special needs.
SC Builders, along with other volunteers,  built plywood platforms on the beach allowing accessibility to activities such as kayaking, canoeing, and scuba diving. This is a wonderful event and we are so honored to be part of it each year.
PLAYHOUSE BUILD

For the 3rd year in a row, SC Builders employees (plus assorted family and friends) had a great time constructing playhouses under the direction of Habitat for Humanity. Thanks to Blue Star Moms, the colorful structures were donated to five local families in the military. Extra funds from  SC Builders' sponsorship will support the construction of an actual Habitat for Humanity home!
BLOOD DRIVE
We are eager to have our 4th blood drive in September. In the past, our volunteers donated enough to potentially save more than 200 lives! This year we are working with the Stanford Blood Center and we can't be more excited.
