County Seeking Business Representative for Solid Waste Advisory Commission

The Board of County Councilors is seeking applicants to fill a volunteer position representing the business community on the Solid Waste Advisory Commission. Members provide recommendations to the county on issues such as recycling, garbage collection, landfills, transfer stations, and waste reduction programs. The commission meets at 6 p.m. on the first Thursday of February, May, August, and November. The three-year position begins when it is filled. Application deadline is 5 p.m. Friday, October 6th. Nominate Your Business for a Workforce Innovation and Excellence Award

Workforce Southwest Washington (WSW) is accepting nominations of businesses in Clark, Cowlitz and Wahkiakum counties for its Workforce Innovation and Excellence Awards. Awards will be given in two categories. 1.) Innovation in Workforce Development 2.) Excellence in Building Workforce Partnerships.
