Want a quick fix for improving your productivity, creativity, posture and balance while decreasing your stress level so you can work more efficiently? Take off your shoes! We'll talk about how getting out of your footwear can improve your physical health and help you focus so you can really work. Try out some simple exercises for your soles, learn the science behind "going barefoot", and head back to work feeling great. This workshop is taught by Dr. Jeni Gall of MovePT, sponsored by Mackenzie, with lunch by Chick-fil-A.

Washington PTAC presents SBA8(a) & HUBZone Certifications Workshop
Washington PTAC will be hosting a workshop on 8(a) and HUBZone Certification on February 22nd at the Greater Vancouver Chamber of Commerce. Yuri Dyson, SBA Business Opportunity Specialist will present. Attendees will learn about the benefits of the 8(a) program, as well as the HUBZone program. The Feb 22nd workshop is from 1:00-2:00 p.m. and is free to attend, but please RSVP.
Google Workshop Series Begins in March

In March, the GVCC will host an informative eight-part workshop series on Google, presented by Comcast and The Columbian. Industry experts such as Dr. Dene Grigar and Kevin Getch will share insight on how to increase your business presence and ranking on the Google platform. The All-Access Passes are SOLD OUT, but there are up to eight individual seats per workshop.

The Iris Awards will take place on March 8th and are presented annually by Clark College, the Clark College Foundation, Greater Vancouver Chamber of Commerce, H-RoC, and the Vancouver Business Journal. The awards honor the lasting and far-reaching contributions of women in Southwest Washington and beyond. This year, Julie Bocanegra (Columbia Credit Union), Julianna Marler (Port of Vancouver USA), Nancy Restinas (Restinas Collaborative Law Center), and Nan Henriksen (former Mayor of Camas, Freeholder) will be honored.

Opportunities for businesses to interact with students in Clark County! The Women in STEM day , event needs volunteers to interact with 5-8th grade girls who are looking to pursue or learn about careers in the STEM fields.  On March 24th you can: present, host an interactive table, or run a breakout session. Don't have the time? Donate swag that relates to engaging young females in the possibilities of a career in STEM fields. Interested in getting involved?
