The Chamber's Spring and Fall Workshops series have become highly sought after, and each eight-session series focuses on a specific skill area of content on a specific focus area. The past four sessions have completely sold out of all-access passes, which provide access for all eight sessions. This coming September, our theme will be S easonal Marketing . 6/5: First Steps to Starting a Business Workshop
Presented by the GVCC Small Business Assistance Program

This workshop held in the Chamber conference room from 5:30-6:30 p.m. on June 5th is designed for those thinking about starting a new business, or who have entered the early planning stages. Learn the fundamental elements of what makes a business successful, the basics of business planning, and the steps to turn an idea into reality. Content will be modeled from the Kauffman FastTrac framework. RSVP is required, as space is limited.

The Chamber's deadline for the July/August (summer edition) of the Vancouver VISION Magazine is coming soon on Friday, June 8th. There are three ad spaces remaining in the Summer edition and advertisement spaces start at $195.

Registration open for two workforce workshop: Find Talent in a Tight Labor Market that will highlight benefits of diversifying workforce – find talent where you haven’t been looking. The workshops will dispel myths of working with non-traditional candidates and they'll share first-hand employer/employee experiences. State Farm (Kris Greene Agency) invites the public to submit a community cause for a chance to win a $25,000 grant through State Farm Neighborhood Assist . Causes need to be submitted between June 6-15th. The categories: safety, community development or education. The top 40 causes with the most votes will each receive a $25,000 grant from State Farm!
