The Chamber Notebook:
The Forst Inn Arts Collective

The Odd Couple (April 13 - May 6) - Meet Francis and Olive,
an Odd Couple for the modern world!  All of your favorite quirks
combined with some spunky new ones. Let the hilarity commence!
Go to www.forstinn.com for tickets and to view the event calendar.

The Forst Inn Arts Collective hosts diverse events
Drive into the picturesque valley that encompasses Tisch Mills and you'll encounter the Ice Age Trail, scenic wooded views, and 150 years of Wisconsin history. In the center of it all you'll find The Forst Inn, an historic lodge originally established in the 1860s by the family of Vaclav Forst as Tisch Mills was settled.
The venue currently includes a pub built in 1892, a theater built as a dance hall in 1920 and converted to a cabaret theater in 1990 by Ron Kaminski, and an art gallery nestled into the spaces once used as the common rooms for the Forst's lodging rooms.
After being idle for a number of years, The Forst has been reinvigorated by its new proprietors, local realtor Catherine Egger and new theater transplant Michael Sheeks. After an opening gala last September, the Forst has offered a diverse range of theater, music, film and visual art during the last busy six months.

Think.Love.Play.
Manitowoc County
Kim Geiser

Meet Kim Geiser! She shares why she loves Manitowoc County as she resides with her family in Cleveland and is a former Downtown Manitowoc business owner!

Positive Experience:  As a former business owner in Downtown Manitowoc, I have so many good memories of the community. Art and About was an art group that I co-founded with realtor Jolene Funk early on in my Manitowoc business days. It was a group of local artists that met to talk art and later do events. Our first super successful event was Chairs for Charity that was held at the Rahr-West Art Museum. It was so wonderful to see the community come out and support the cause. Over the years, the event raised thousands of dollars to help aspiring artists through scholarships. Manitowoc is lucky to have a core of really amazing people who work hard to make it a true community. I made some amazing lifelong friends with the projects I was a part of.
