The Chamber's Safety, Health & Wellness Council's 4th Annual National Employee Health & Fitness Day is Wednesday, May 17!
A Kick-off Breakfast was held on Tuesday at the Manitowoc-Two Rivers Y to help motivate and provide tools to employers in preparation for this event.
Mary Kay Johns, Project Manager for the Manitowoc-Two Rivers Y LiveSTRONG program, gave a presentation at the breakfast. Mary Kay discussed the benefits of the LiveSTRONG program for cancer survivors and their families and the Y's commitment to provide a safe, supportive environment to participate in physical and social activities focused on strengthening the whole person.

YP Week: Industrial Spotlight Tours

On Tuesday evening, the Young Professionals (YP) of Manitowoc County celebrated YP Week with an "Industrial Spotlight Tours" event.
Participants were given the chance to go behind the scenes and experience the operations of three manufacturing companies in Manitowoc. The multi-company tour included Skana Aluminum Company, Tramontina and Orion Energy Systems.
The tours concluded with a reception in Orion's Atrium.

On Wednesday evening, the Young Professionals (YP) of Manitowoc County celebrated YP Week with a "Sip, Sample & Socialize" event.
Sip, Sample & Socialize took place at Vagabond Creative Studio/Gallery at 2402 Franklin St., Manitowoc. The event featured one-of-a-kind, off-the-menu food samples from local restaurants, state-of-the-art wine from a local winery and outstanding art from local artists.

On Thursday of this week, The Chamber held their annual Job Fair at JFK Fieldhouse at Lincoln High School.
This event is a great way for businesses to share the positions they have available, collect applications and set up interviews. All high school students from Manitowoc County were invited and encouraged to attend; the Job Fair was also open to the public.

Business World 2017 is held at two separate times and locations in June: June 21-24 at St. Norbert College, DePere; and June 28-July 1 at Edgewood College, Madison. Download the application here and submit by Friday, May 12.
