Lunch & Learn
Data Breach Awareness: Data Privacy & Security for Businesses

The Chamber hosted a Lunch & Learn at Lester Public Library on Monday titled, "Data Breach Awareness: Data Privacy & Security for Businesses."

Presenting was Laura Fay, Agency Liaison for the Bureau of Consumer Protection with the Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection.

Attendees learned about recent data breaches, common causes, and why small to medium sized businesses are targeted. They also learned ways to identify risks within your company and how to minimize them. Laura also reviewed best practices for data privacy and security policies for your business.

The Reality Store at
Two Rivers High School

Over 200 Two Rivers High School juniors and seniors were given a dose of reality at The Chamber's "Reality Store" on Tuesday of this week.

The Reality Store teaches students basic skills in financial planning, goal setting, decision making and career planning. They also develop a more realistic idea of the financial impact their future decisions will have.

How YOUR business can participate in YP Week

APRIL 21-28

Looking for a way for your business to participate in the community-wide YP Week celebration?  Consider offering up a YP Week Special.  YP Week specials DO NOT necessarily have to be discounted products or services - but rather a way for your business to celebrate and participate in YP Week.  We will advertise the specials prior to, and during YP Week.

For example:
  • You could rename an existing food or beverage item to a "YP" or "YP Week" name like, "The YP Double Cheeseburger" or "YP Week Latte featuring an extra shot of espresso"

  • Offer a free appetizer or discount for groups of 4 or more YPs that visit your business during YP Week

  • Rename your existing Chamber Savings Card offer for the week
If your business would like to offer a YP Week special, please contact us at (920) 684-5575 or reply to this email.

The Chamber Notebook:
Two Rivers Rotary Club

Two Rivers Rotary Club celebrates 95 years
Two Rivers Rotary Club celebrated its 95th anniversary in February.  Many things have changed since 1923, but their pride and service to the community remain strong.
The club continues to serve the local community's key service providers, all of which are vital in maintaining the hometown culture, while supporting the City of Two Rivers in finding ways to grow the community with innovative economic development strategies.
Past donations have allowed the club to support local and international projects. They include, but are not limited to, club members donating their time and talents (pharmacist and physician) through the Guatemala Medical Relief Project.
One of the club's most recent highlights includes providing signs and docks for the developing Mishicot and Neshotah Water Trail for kayaks and canoes. The club delivers nearly 450 meals per year through the Meals on Wheels program.
