Chairperson's Message

The Holiday season is in full swing and the new year is on the horizon. The Dufferin Board of Trade has had an eventful year and we are very proud of the work that we have done to solidify Dufferin as the best place to do business. Through  advocating on behalf of our members and businesses in Dufferin at the provincial and federal level, to hosting networking events such as the spring member function and community fundraisers such as the annual Golf Tournament, DBOT remains committed to serving our exceptional business community.

It is our honour each year to celebrate the outstanding members of our business community at the Business Excellence Awards (BEA) and recognize the achievements and the numerous successes of our local businesses and business-people. This year's BEA's were no exception. A total of nine awards were presented to outstanding businesses and business people.

As 2016 comes to a close and we move into the new year DBOT looks forward to continuing to serve the business community in Dufferin as the voice of business. A new year presents new opportunity for business and economic development, and the Dufferin Board of Trade will continue to support business growth, attraction, and retention within our region.

Lastly, I would like to say thank you to all of our members, whether this be your first year with the Dufferin Board of Trade, or your 100th year. Without the support and investment of our business community the work of this organization would not be made possible.  I  wish you continued success in your business endeavors, and a safe and joyous Holiday season.
