New Events Contest
Downtown Improvement District

The Downtown Improvement District will once again be offering its Winter-Spring events contest which invites businesses, organizations, and individuals to submit their best ideas for events in February, March, or April, 2018 for a chance to receive production support. Submissions will be accepted until Friday, June 30 at 5 p.m.

Riverfront Development

The Fort Wayne Park Foundation, Inc. is pleased to announce its support of Promenade Park by raising funds for the construction of the Fort Wayne Park Foundation Compass Pavilion.

Open Streets Fort Wayne
Calhoun Street

On July 9, 2017 you can experience Fort Wayne in a unique way. By joining us for the City's first Open Streets Event anchored by the historic, Calhoun Street. The event closes streets to traffic and opens for pedestrians, bicyclists, and rollerblading as well as fun-filled activities in a more than two-mile block party atmosphere.

Sunny Schick to Close
Downtown Fort Wayne

Sunny Schick, which has been part of Perfect's life for about 60 years and part of downtown for about 90 years, will close for good in about five weeks. The store is closed today while Christie and his staff prepare for the final clearance sale, which begins at 9:30 a.m. Thursday.

4th of July Fireworks
Annual Celebration

The City of Fort Wayne announced the Indiana Michigan Power Center in Downtown Fort Wayne will be the location for this year's Fourth of July fireworks show on Tuesday, July 4!

Rock the Plaza
Downtown Library Plaza

Join the Allen County Public Library for Rock the Plaza each Saturday evening until August 26. Bring your lawn chairs, a blanket, or dance the night away to music from some of the areas best groups.  Food will be available for purchase.
Fort Wayne Greek Festival
Headwaters Park

Celebrate the 37th Greek Festival and enjoy a large variety of Greek cuisine and entertainment including live music, dancing, a raffle drawing, and other activities each day.

Lunch on the Plaza
Freimann Square

Due to popular demand, Lunch on the Plaza returned to Freimann Square with live music for people to enjoy outside during lunch every Thursday throughout the summer. This will be a 14-week season!
River Rave
Historic Wells Street Bridge

River Rave is the inaugural rave created and planned by the Mayor's Youth Engagement Council of Fort Wayne. The rave is on Friday, June 23, from 8 p.m. - 12 a.m. on the Historic Wells Street Bridge.
Fort Wayne Dragon Boat Races
Headwaters Park West

Riverfront Fort Wayne and the Mayor's Youth Engagement Council invite you to the 3rd Annual Fort Wayne Dragon Boat Races at Headwaters Park West on June 24!

Broadway Street Stroll

Broadway Street Stroll presents Fort Wayne's unique art, music, food and brew during a one-day street festival at various locations along Broadway.
